Lead Technical Product Manager

Colearn is reimagining education, learning and school around parent agency and engagement. We build a platform that empowers parents to curate and put into action curriculum and technology applications that serve their learners, independent of or instead of school. We offer a school alternative to parents who enroll their students in our schools and programs, and we use these parents as an active beta community.

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Technical Product Manager with a passion for family-centered learning, learning outside of school, reimagining online K12 education, and making complex products simple and easy-to-use. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of translating product concepts, mockups, and clickable prototypes into documentation, sprint cycles, and epic execution. We are looking for an eagerness to own user journeys and various aspects of the product roadmap.

You will work with our talented, lean engineering team and the various people who create product concepts, communicate closely with our CEO, CTO, and any advisors or advisory board to help build our product roadmap, and see product concepts through effective engineering implementation.

Responsibilities

By partnering with cross-functional teams and customers, you will turn concepts into delightful products in a creative environment that requires  leadership and communication skills.

More responsibilities in detail:

  • Involved in the entire product development process, from vision to delivery.
  • Work with product to finalize design requirements with input from engineering.
  • Assure priority designs get from initial concept to engineering-ready deliverables.
  • Analyze how new products, features, or updates meet the needs of the audience, with the ability to drive successful product iteration.

Requirements

  • Capacity to communicate with designers, product thinkers, and engineering, and streamline effective asynchronous, collaborative communication between these stakeholders.
  • Give in-depth feedback to shape low fidelity and onto high-fidelity mockups with an eye towards engineering.
  • Interest in the process of validating mockups with users, and iterating into product roadmap.
  • Process-oriented, can guide and manage a process of concept to production.
  • Familiarity with design, product, and engineering.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Natural inclination to communicate and collaborate, can thrive in a remote-first team.

How We Work

We are a truly distributed - remote anywhere team, spanning Asia/Pacific, Europe, and North America. We champion our belief that life is about more than work and we foster a culture that supports diverse lifestyles.
